Arc of Approach -
Angle of Approach

The Golf Factory explains arc of approach verses angle of approach, the tenth of ten distinctions between the two prefect golf swings.
The two perfect golf swings are The Centrifugal Force Swing (swinging swing) and The Muscular Force Swing (hitting swing).

The tenth distinction is ARC OF APPROACH verses ANGLE OF APPROACH.
Delivery lines are needed to guide the clubhead and the right arm into impact with the golf ball. The basic delivery line is the true geometric plane line.

In the Centrifugal Force Swing (The Swinging Swing), the visual Arc of Approach delivery line is the curved line of angular motion and actually meets the ball on its inside aft quadrant as it travels down to the low point plane line and back across the impact plane line again.

As the hands roll into their impact position with the golf ball, the clubhead follows the are of the circle created by centrifugal force straightening the left arm and the clubshaft. The end of the shaft actually traces the basic plane line, as the clubhead approaches impact on this arc. The clubhead is moving downward, outward and forward all at the same time.

In the Muscular Force Swing(The Hitting Swing), the straight line Angle of Approach delivery line changes the physics of impact because the centered angular clubhead momentum becomes an uncentered linear momentum out toward the right without ever returning to the original square target line, plane line and stance line configuration during the follow through. The clubhead traces the basic plane line. The clubhead is moving downward, outward and forward all at the same time.

The arc of approach is the delivery line for the swinging swing and the angle of approach is the delivery line for the hitting swing.
