Trigger Action - Active Left Wrist or Active Right Elbow
The Golf Factory explains the trigger action - an active left wrist or an active right elbow, the fifth of ten
distinctions between the two prefect golf swings.
The two perfect golf swings are The Centrifugal Force Swing (swinging swing) and
The Muscular Force Swing (hitting swing).
The fifth distinction is the TRIGGER ACTION,.
In the Centrifugal Force Swing (The Swinging Swing), the trigger action requires an active left wrist and a
passive right elbow. Centrifugal force, acting on the outward motion of the weight of the clubhead, causes the
left wrist to begin to uncock. This is the trigger action for unleashing the stored power of the backswing.
The stored power accumulated during the backswing is applied to the impact with the golf ball in a sequential
order:
The uncocking of the left wrist, begins the release
The straightening of the right arm, adds the force of the right arm
The rolling of the hands, maintains rhythm
The contact of the upper left arm with the chest, adds the force of the rotating body
These above actions must be released in this precise order.
In the Muscular Force Swing (The Hitting Swing), the trigger action requires an active right elbow and an
inactive left wrist. Muscular force acting on the left hand causes the stored power of the backswing
to be released. All the power begins to be released simultaneously:
The right arm begins to straighten
The left Wrist begins to uncock
The right hand, maintains rhythm
The body rotates away from the ball
These above actions must be released all at the same time.
The trigger actions begins the release of the stored power of the backswing. The trigger action is
either a active left wrist for the centrifugal force swing or a active right elbow for a muscular
force swing.
