Lion’s Paw Golf Link's has routinely been described as Willard Byrd’s finest work.
The Lion's Paw Golf Links features two distinct but equally challenging and impressive styles. The first
12 holes play through towering hardwoods and feature a fair amount of elevation change, while 13-17 venture out
into an open area where trouble comes in the form of wind and not hills. The finishing hole combines the two looks,
playing open from the tee and then flowing through the trees to the green.
Golf Digest's "Places to Play" awards Lion's Paw Golf Links 4 Stars (****) - 2001.
Please, be sure to check out the other three golf courses at the Ocean Ridge Golf Plantation: Panthers Run,
Tigers Eye and Leopards Chase. A fifth golf course, the Jaguars Liar is planning to open in 2010. The Jaguars Liar
is a combination of the former Angles Trace North Golf Course and Angles Trace South Golf Course. The holes were
completely redone and upgraded to the new level of the golf course experience expected in Myrtle Beach. Jaguars Liar
sure to beocme one of Myrtle Beach package golfers favorites.
Lion's Paw Golf Links is a member of The Ocean Ridge Golf Plantation. The Ocean Ridge Golf Plantation
Courses are located North of Little River, South Carolina in the Calabash, North Carolina section. The golf
courses are about thirty miles North of the Myrtle beach International Airport, off Highway 17 North.
