Wild Wings Avocet Golf Club Myrtle Beach located of Higway 501 between Myrtle Beach and Conway is one of Larry Nelson's signature golf courses. The Wild Wing's Avocet Course presents unique, creative and extensive mounding and contouring. This special golf course has elevated tees and greens, double fairways, grass bunkers and even a double green like you find @ The St. Andrews Golf Links in Scotland. The Wild Wing's Avocet Course was recognized by Golf Digest as a "1994 Top 10 Best New Golf Courses in America". Wild Wing's Avocet Course has been conistently as rated in Places to Play as a 4-Star Award Winner beginning in 1996. One of Wild Wing's Avocet Course's unique qualities is that all four par fives and par three are orientation in different directions from each other. This presents daily changes in strategies, dictated by the different wind directions.
